Solution I can come up with is using a Windows 7 computer with a Firewire connection.įirst – is there any way you know of to “capture” the video from the MiniDV tapes using my new computer? It has a Thunderbolt connection I have a new (< 1yr old) Dell XPS 15 that I was planning to switch everything over to, but the problem is getting the video off the MiniDV tapes! At this point the only HOURS online trying to figure out how to correct this and nothing seems to work. Longer even showing up in the Device Manager (nor is my SD card reader, which has also stopped working). Upon further investigation, I found the IEEE 1394 is no ![]() The problem is this: Premiere Pro CC no longer recognizes the Firewire connection. We've got up to date version of Asus ieee 1394 driver download. Select Windows Version: Windows 10 Windows 8 Windows 7 Windows Vista Windows XP Auto Detect. I “upgraded” that computer to Windows 10 and installed Premiere Pro CC and Photoshop CC (as well as some other Adobe products). Driver File Name: asus-ieee-1394-driver-download.exe. ![]() The video camera I used is a Sony DCR-HC52 which used a MiniDV tape. I have a Dell Precision M6500 64 bit computer that has an IEEE 1394 Firewire connection I had used for capturing video through Premiere I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask about this, but here goes… ![]()
